ISO tips for care on coated blades
Post Body

Hi Everybody,

I have been reading about different methods of care and maintenance on coated blades and wanted to see what yโ€™all do to care for your coated blades.

I have an s30V Bugout and an M4 Osborne that are both coated. Would you treat the steels differently or would they be cared for the same since they are coated?

Iโ€™ve also noticed that the coating can accumulate stains. Is acetone the most effective way to clean the coating?

Is there any circumstance that you would apply mineral oil to a coated blade? Is there a specific applicator that works best for oiling the blade? (Fingertip, q-tip, microfiber, paper towel?)

Thanks in advance. I appreciate the knowledge and input!
