Hi,
I was a customer at bell, I had tv and fibre, I cancelled tv about 2 weeks before cancelling my internet, I returned the TV box as instructed, got a receipt that it was returned, on the receipt it was written that I returned both modem and tv box,
2 weeks later after Internet got cancelled I went to return the Modem, the store agent said that previous agent already checked that I returned both of them, took the modem and didn't provide a receipt.
I asked her again if she's sure I will not get charged and asked for a receipt, she said that these modems are not serialized and I should not get charged
Today I woke up to a $229 non return fee bill.
what are my options?

Update: reached out to customer care and got the equipment written off.
