The real reason? It was incredibly boring. Rogan is a complete non-interventionist in regards to interviews. The only exceptions are when liars lie about stuff Joe knows (construction for example) then he will call them out. Trump lacked ANY fire in the interview and since he can't attack Rogan he has to avoid Rogan correcting him (the Kamala won't do it part).
All in all it was boring for a man whose entire schtick is fire and brimstone.
