Gentler streak telling me to take it easy…
Post Body

I’m a very casual runner (437km so far this year, 267km total last year) I struggle with sticking to it. I tend to do a mix of 3k, 5k and 8k.

So I’ve set myself goal of 3k/day for a month, with a plan to build up speed to keep my heart rate up as I go.

This is the end of the first week, and my heart rate has come down significantly. I’m not feeling any adverse effects, but I’m wondering should I be taking rest days?

My presumption is that at some point that line will flatten out and it’ll tell me to do more!

P.S. I’m 50/m and aiming to get my 5k to 30 mins (currently 32ish)

Mostly just looking for thoughts / advice…
