Hello 🙋♂️
I have my 2nd 5k event coming up this Sunday. In preparation, I decided to do a long run today (well, tonight!). My goal was to run 45 mins, no matter the distance or speed/pace.
Started out intentionally slow, settling at a pace of ~13min/mile and crossing 5k was a breeze (and literally, there was a nice breeze haha while i was running around 10pm). Still had about 5 mins left out of 45 mins, and so decided to push a little and go beyond 45mins and actually complete 4 miles, which would make it my longest run ever.
And i did!
Finished 4 miles in about 51mins, and to reflect back, it was almost a month ago where I had finished my first 5k in about the same time (50 mins).
I ran the "Thank you" run on NRC app.
So in the spirit of that run, a BIG THANK YOU to every one in this community to be backing each other, encouraging and being such great motivators!
