Update#2: 2nd 5k run after my first ever 5k event
Post Body

I have posted a few times here & wonderful to see the community chime in!

I did my first ever 5k event last Sunday. Today, was my 2nd 5k run after the event. Yesterday was my rest day (well, from running). I did walk for about 2 miles.

Today, was my hardest 5k so far (I have ran 6 5k so far, including the one at the event). I was almost ready to give up at 1k! 🙄 Not sure, why. Perhaps it was a bit of fatigue in my thighs from my last 5k run (2 days ago) or maybe the weather today was a little hotter than last few days (nothing crazy, but around 83 with the sun out).

I kept going though, and strangely enough at around the 2k mark, felt really comfortable and breathing was nice. I definitely ran much faster after that. A little too fast maybe, as I was starting to feel winded around the 3.5k mark and had to really force myself to slow down. The last 1k was bit of a struggle again, perhaps because of the speed again.

But once my finish line was in sight, I was determined to not give up.

Ended up doing the 5k in ~36mins, my PB so far!
