I don't know how people who enjoy going to the gym nearly everyday do it.
I'm in my 50's and my mental game is not there to spur my physical one forward. Even when I played sports, even when I lost a ton of weight twice in my lifetime, I either get bored with the routine (old or new) or I just get to a point where I am tired of the "chore" of exercising.
One thing I do know is exercising is important (especially as we grow older) so my attitude towards exercising isn't one that flat out refuses to see the benefits of fitness or the need. For me, it is the druggery and always feeling like I don't know what I am doing in a gym (especially with weights) that truly turns off any fire stoked to get better in the gym. I've learned a bit more my last time before Covid-19 hit, but now that I'm barely doing stuff on the treadmill I find myself whatever fire stoked (yet again) dimming.
I am open to any and all suggestions on how to not only stoke the fire, but to maintain it and keep it blazing till I breath my last?
