I'm 32M 5'9" and 240lbs - did a home workout for "beginners" and feel like I'm going to die
Post Body

I just found this sub. I did a home workout with two 15 lb dumbbells with some guy who was very in shape on youtube. It was 35 seconds on and 25 seconds break for each exercise. I haven't worked out since before the pandemic. I feel very down right now. Like why even try? I feel like i was beat up lol. Ok maybe I'm being a bit dramatic but exercise is such a psychological as well as physical hurdle for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for someone like me? I can't afford a gym membership right now. I just want to not hate myself after doing a beginner exercise. Is there anyone good for beginners who despise being out of breath like me but can also provide a decent workout?

EDIT: I just want to share how grateful I am that I joined this community. It’s only been one day since I joined and there’s already so many people who are willing and eager to share helpful information and words of encouragement. I really feel a whole lot better knowing there are people like you all out there that are in a beginner’s corner. I’m going to continually come back to this thread and reread all the comments for motivation and ideas. Just thank you all so much!
