Best Solution for Yellow Jackets in my Siding
Post Body

I'm posting here instead of someplace like r/homeowners because I'm not particularly concerned about these dudes, I know they get a lot of hate, but I don't have kids and I figure they have some kind of ecological role. I do not want to spray chemicals. The idea of killing a whole colony of these guys (gals probably, right?) Is pretty abhorrent to me.

That being said, it can't be good that they're setting up shop in there right? I'm a new homeowner (since April) so I know basically nothing. I saw this gap in the siding where my deck railing was attached to the house I guess when I moved in and even bought the silicone to fill it up, but got distracted by bigger projects and now he we are.

If I wait until winter, are they just living in there and I'll kill them when I plug it up? Is there any other way to remove them besides killing them? Would it be ok for me to just let them live there? I can't imagine it would be.

Thanks
