Normally I’d be drinking a beer like this in a more appropriate vessel, but this just looked cooler. If you know Burning Barrel (Rancho Cordova) it’s no surprise this beer is aaaamazing. This one is a peach brandy barrel aged imperial stout. Fairly robust at 13.7 ABV, it’s very well balanced. Not overly sweet or boozy - it’s very approachable for such a big beer. A ton of brandy on the nose, velvety dark chocolate and unsweetened cocoa bitter gives way to bright peach schnapps notes on the finish. It’s a definite winner.
