Hi all
Part of me wanted to post this on /r/beermoney, but all I'd likely get in response are sites more suited to Americans ("Oh, you can install this, this, and this, and do surveys on here, here and here"... which'd be great if I were a Yank), and although this borders into /r/workonline territory, I'm looking to make a such a small amount per day in comparison that I wasn't sure it was worth posting there: I'm not looking to make a 'living wage'.
Basically, I'm looking for ways to make a solid £10.00 minimum per day by doing some task or another -- mostly aimed at paying off my credit-card debt and for training websites that require subscriptions, like Plural Sight/Linked In Learning.
Surveys dry up quickly, and apparently being a 32 year old white guy isn't the demographic they're looking for (ya know, I bet the creators are asking "where those millionaire CEOs at?" Probably chilling on their yachts with their trophy, 20-something wives, lol).
Caveats:
I'm housebound due to illness, so no going out to supermarkets and the like for me! :(
No sign-up offers or referrals, please. I'm looking for tasks I can do to bring in £10.00 minimum per day.
I'm already a member of Prolific, and make a small chunk of change doing those studies.
I already have an account with UHRS via Clickworker and I have a Microworkers account. I could do this, but I'm looking for alternatives.
I've been freelancing on Fiverr by doing basic copy-editing/creation, but it's soul-destroying work for such little pay.
I can be at my desktop PC for most hours of the day/night, barring familial responsibilities and sleeping.
I thought of audio transcription, but Scribie pays insultingly low rates per file (seriously, I'd have more luck trying surveys for 15 minutes and $0.80 a pop than over an hour transcribing a 6 minute file for $0.60, even with automation doing most of the work) and the horror stories about Rev make me avoid that place entirely. If there's a site out there that pays okay and uses the "pick a file, do the job, get paid" system, I'd be all for it.
I've looked at Textbroker, but with how long they reply to applicants' applications, it's not worth it (they literally take months), I don't think?
I can't do Lionbridge or Appen due to being a carer and being limited to a certain amount of work hours/income level per week (this is a hard limit), so they are a no-go, too.
Does anyone have any ideas or sites?
Cheers!
