Fruit Lab: another semi-passive video site and other guides
Post Body

I'm surprised no-one here linked this site already, since it was on the main /r/beermoney sub a few days ago.

Basically it's another semi-passive video site: each video run gives you a small amount of coins, called Pips, which you can eventually redeem for various gift-cards.

I spend a lot of time at the PC and I have an unlimited data-plan from my ISP, so I can effectively babysit the videos pretty much all day until I hit my daily Pip limit (over 1000 last time I checked, days ago).

They offer the usual various gift-cards in various denominations, like Amazon, Google Play, XBoX, PSN, etetera.

My personal goal is going to be either the five quid Amazon for 6,250 or the twenty quid Prepaid Mastercard for 2,5000, so I personally expect to get either one or two of the former or just one of the latter per month.

I haven't cashed out yet, but another guy in /r/beermoney did (with an Imgur screenshot), so I'd say it's legit. When I cash out a £5.00 Amazon, I'll post my proof up, too (I'm at 5,089 Pips).

Fruit Lab Tips/Guide:

  • If you use Gener8 on Chrome, use Firefox: if you use SerpClix on Firefox, use Edge or another browser. Keep them all separate, since one might interfere with the other. I personally use Edge for Fruit Labs.
  • The length of videos doesn't seem to matter: that's why people are uploading clips that are between 9--30 seconds.
  • Uploading short videos might be a more viable way to earn, but I've never used this functionality.
  • Click on 'Videos', click on a video with a short time-period, and let them run through with the 'Autoplay' option selected.
  • After they're finished, rinse and repeat. Harvest those Pips until you hit your limit.
  • You can mute the tab and let it run in the background.
  • Give them the occasional check to see if they're still playing while you're working or watching YouTube or something.

Gener8 Tips/Guide:

  • Install the Tabs extension. They'll dramatically improve your point rate.
  • If you're not comfortable with them knowing your browser history, you can disable it. I'm personally not comfortable with it, but I'm still on track to make about three £5.00 Amazon vouchers or more per month, when I can access the marketplace, that is.
  • You can disable it for certain sites via the extension's drop-down menu: remember, to certain sites like GPTs it counts as an ad-blocker. This applies to HideOut and InstaGC's on-site video.
    Keep this in mind.
  • Reward stock goes quick: you'll have to be fast on the keyboard to redeem something from the marketplace.

SerpClix Tips/Guide:

  • On Google Search, you'll have to do this per site e.g. .com, .co.uk, click on Settings, Search Settings, and then set the Results Per Page to 100.
  • Look at the extension icon at the top-right: if it hasn't gone orange and 'GOT', the needed search isn't on that page: just skip to the bottom and go through to the next page until it does, then look for a pink highlighted result.
  • If the needed search can't be found, click on the 'Repeat Search with Omitted Results', and look again through the pages.
  • Sometimes, you won't find the desired result despite both steps. In this case, just close the tab and ignore that listing. It happens, sometimes.
