[Cross-posted from Beermoney] WeSwap is a great service for swapping currencies online, for when you go on holiday and the like. The fees are low, and even if you don't use it for currency swapping, you can still use it as an online prepaid sccount. Top up is done via bank transfer or from another debit.

Now, as per /r/Beermoney's rules, I'll provide a non-referral link; however, to get the fiver, you need to sign up with a referral link.

To be transparent, when you sign up with a referral link, the person who signs up gains the fiver, while the person referring gets £5/€5 for the first five (ten? It's unclear?) people only. People signing up via a referral after this five (ten?) person limit still get the 5.00, but I, for example, no longer receive any more money, that 5, for new sign ups after those five (ten?) people.

This will change, however, if I get in to their advanced program. To remain transparent, if that occurs, I'll post notification here.

You'll also need some documentation: proof of address and a photo ID, like a driving license or a utility bill or something, though I was never asked for it... so far, at least.

They'll need to be good images of them, too: so, a scanner is a must.

When you sign up, use your authentic, genuine information: don't lie about who you are or where you live. Don't try to game the system or scam it, it won't work.

After signing up via a referral link, you'll be posted your Mastercard (by Royal Mail, in my case). It took for me three days to arrive, but I live in the UK, where it's based. It may take a week or two for Europeans.

Once it comes, confirm your phone number, and receive an SMS: enter the code.

You'll be then sent your online PIN for your account in another text.

Simple!

Edit: whoops, turns out it's 5 per person referred, and it may be up to 10 people -- site's a bit unclear. Regardless, a referred person still gets a fiver.
