So I have seen a few posts asking why they do not get as many surveys as they previously did. I work in the industry that deploys surveys and thought I would answer them.
The main reason for not getting as many surveys these days is lockout periods. Most clients want people who have not taken a survey in the past 3 months to complete theirs. This used to be done by asking a question in the survey and then screening from that, these days it is done via the panel database or if you are on more than one panel company by a tracking cookie placed when you participate.
Other reasons for this as from your previous answers, if you have taken part and said that you had no interest in advertising in a previous survey so that you qualified to take part then this would be added to your profile and you would not get that survey,
Finally, at the moment there are budgetary concerns, due to the Covid-19 situation, a lot of our clients are holding back on research at the moment but this is starting to pick up especially online ... a good thing to look out for at the moment is small surveys that ask if you are happy video conferencing this is often a screener to get people to do Zoom groups (old school focus groups but via Zoom) these can be up to £100 a time and done from your home.
