Hello everyone,
I'm purchasing a new laptop to replace my current one, which still works pretty well. I was wondering if I could repurpose my old computer to generate passive income now or in the future. I have free electricity and high-speed wifi, so i'm not worried about those costs. Since I don't have any expenses, I was thinking using it mine some sort of cryptocurrency--one that isn't popular and something my computer can handle. Should I try Monero? Viacoin? Takcoin? World Coin? Florin Coin? Feather Coin? Surecoin? Anything? However, I'm wondering if there's something better you can suggest.
Rent out my computer as a server to someone? Run Ads? Mine some obscure cryptocurrency and hope it's worth something in 1-5 years? What are your recommendations?
Computer specs: Mid 2009 Apple Macbook Pro (I can run windows or linux) 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 8 GB 1067 Mhz Ram 220 SSD Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 256 MB
Not interested in selling it even if i could get 200-300 bucks
