Blog Post: http://blog.sellsimple.com/how-to-make-1000-in-7-days-2/
If you could make $1,000 in 7 days, would you dedicate 100% of your time to making that happen? If so, then this post is for you.
This framework is based in logic and math, so if you put in the effort, you will be making $1,000 every 7 days.
The key is to break down your metrics to an easily digestable number, and then slowly scale as you get more and more comfortable with what you’re doing.
You need to have hustle, because if you don’t, none of this works. It takes work, and you're going to have to grind through that beginning phase before you see the results you want.
If you have unrivaled hustle levels, there is no reason you can’t be earning $4k a month just by hustling and using a simple framework.
Let’s break down the math first so we can see what we’re actually working with, and then from there we can jump into the methods.
*$1,000 in 7 days breaks down to $140 per day. * This means our goal should be to find something we can do in 1 hour that makes us $10, each time, every time.
If you spend 14 hours per day doing that thing, you will hit your goal of $140 / day ($1k in 7). As you get better, you’ll make more money per hour, and it will take you less time to do.
Now the question is, what can you do to make $10 consistently and can it scale?
*Method #1: Yardsale to Pawnshop Re-Sale * http://losangeles.craigslist.org/gms/
http://garagesalefinder.com/yard-sales/
Visit your local garage / yardsales and find items that are undervalued by $10. Buy them.
Go to a pawn shop and sell them for maybe $4-5 profit each (2 items per hour = our goal), OR list the items on SellSimple and try and get a higher price by selling on multiple marketplaces.
Method #1.1: Yardsale Up-Sell Services
Think of something all yardsale people need, and charge them $10 for it.
Maybe email all of the people having a yardsale and say that for $10 you’ll put up 30 flyers across your local area.
This is another way to double down while you're already at the Yardsale. Of course they want flyers posted, and of course $10 isn't that much money. What if you called 20 yardsales and 5 of them wanted posters? $50, easy. That's 1/2 your days goal, right of the bat.
Method #2: Reselling Daily Deals
Reselling daily deals is another classic way of making money. Buy low, sell high.
Find a product that you’re confident you can sell 2-3 of, and check the price on sites like http://pricegrabber.com or http://pricenomics.com to see what you can sell it for.
Buying in quantity can be a good way to get deals, but it also requires upfront cash.
Here’s a good list of daily deal sites:
Method #3: Selling Services
Find a local business that has extra products to sell – clothing stores, jewelry stores, furniture stores, etc.
Most stores will have some excess products that they couldn’t sell for whatever reason. This is your opportunity!
Go to these business, and tell them that you’ll work for free and sell their extra items that would otherwise just be collecting dust.
Tell them that if you make a sale, you want to keep a small percentage of the total amount. Basic commission structure.
It’s a win win. You don’t have to pay any upfront costs for acquiring product, and the small business gets to sell an item that they were otherwise stuck with.
The SellSimple app is perfect for executing this strategy. All you need to do is snap a few pictures, enter your details, and you can instantly list on multiple marketplaces (Ebay, Etsy, Craigslist, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.). Also, once it sells on one marketplace, SellSimple automatically deletes your listing from all the others platforms so you don’t double sell.
If your goal is $1,000 per week - it’s not that crazy, you just have to put in the hours, hustle on a small scale, and build up a framework that allows you to grow from $1,000 per week to millions a year.
Start small, then scale.
Step 1 is already done, now you just have to go out there and get it!
