I work in the craft department for a beer distributor and despite our resources and our Goose Island rep for the area, this thing is still a mystery to us. It's one of the most expensive 1/6 barrel kegs we've ever gotten from Goose Island, and we can't find ANYTHING about it online.
Our GI rep said it's the Goose Island Double IPA. I figured it was a re-branding of it since the IIPA has been draft only since about 2008. However, I found a fairly new entry with three reviews on RateBeer with a commercial description for an entirely different beer than the regular Imperial IPA. The Illinois, according to the description is lower ABV, lower IBUs, and is dry hopped with Cascade, Meridian, and Citra.
Sounds like an awesome beer, but I need to know what this thing is before I can move it into accounts. Anyone able to help out with some information?
