Here’s some brief reviews of every hair mask I’ve finished!

I have straight Asian hair so products may work completely differently for you. Most of my hair is virgin but my ends (1~2 inches) used to be bleached. I seek hair softness & shininess the most so my ratings will reflect that :P

Sun Bum Deep Conditioning Hair Mask - $10~$16

Smell: 8/10

Hydration: 6/10

Hair shine: 5/10

Softness: 5/10

Yes or no?: NO. Probably meant for wavier/curlier hair so I can see it working for others. Such an addicting coconut & banana smell but it worked like an average conditioner for me. No complaints…but wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.

Fino Premium Touch Hair Mask - $7~$14

Smell: 2/10

Hydration: 9/10

Hair shine: 10/10

Softness: 9/10

Yes or no?: YES absolutely! The shine it gives is insane. Leaves my hair so unbelievably soft and silky!!

But it’s very heavy; wouldn’t recommend for ppl with thin hair. Kinda have to experiment w/ the amount you use or else it’ll just feel greasy…VERY worth it though! Hydrates my dry ends too which is something most masks don’t do for me. Average salon smell BUT… w/ a piercing metallic-ness that I can’t get over…it lingers too :/ If it wasn’t for the smell It’d be my ultimate favorite.

Lucido-L Argan Oil Hair Mask - $15~$20

Smell: 9/10

Hydration: 8/10

Yes or no?: YES. Really good for the price! An addictive and feminine salon smell…So fresh and elegant smelling. If someone smelled like this I’d swoon. Works almost the same as Fino but way less heavy. Makes my hair so soft and silky. It does feel like my hair benefits from it, def worth trying imo :)

Sephora Collection Hair Mask - $3~$5

Smell: 5/10

Hydration: 5/10

Hair shine: 1/10

Softness: 3/10

Yes or no?: NO. Not terrible but my hair didn't benefit at all lol. It’s only one time use so it’d be better to save ur money for other stuff. Might be irritating for certain hair types so be warned. Smell is very artificial but faint.

Olaplex No. 8 Hair Mask - $30

Smell: 9/10

Hydration: 5/10

Hair shine: 5/10

Softness: 5/10

Yes or no?: NO. It did do its job when I had fully bleached hair, but it just gets so expensive and the effects are not at all phenomenal. Basically an overpriced conditioner for bleached hair :| Just fine, very basic. No complaints but nothing to praise about. Loved the smell though!!

Amika Hydro Rush Hair Mask - $30

Smell: 5/10

Hydration: 9/10

Hair shine: 5/10

Softness: 7/10

Yes or no?: YES if it was $10 lol. Hydrates well but not enough shine for me. I can see it working well for thicker hair! Made my hair soft, would buy again if it’s on sale :) Smells veeery fresh but the leafy/green undertones aren’t my thing. Other than that, no complaints. Just not worth $30 imo.

Ma & Me Latte Damage Care - $15~$20

Smell: 7/10

Hydration: 5/10

Hair shine: 5/10

Softness: 5/10

Yes or no?: (Ik this isn’t a hair mask but) NO. Really underwhelming and works like a normal hair conditioner, despite the "damage care" label. Didn’t really feel like it made a difference. Smell is fine and non-offending but kinda a waste of time & money. For the price, there’s way better stuff.

Fable and Mane Hair Mask - $30~$36

Smell: 7/10

Hydration: 7/10

Hair shine: 5/10

Softness: 7/10

Yes or no?: NO. Really pricey despite the size, and it doesn't work good enough on its own :/ When paired w/ the scalp oil its pretty neat but that's also expensive... It does it's job but def not worth $36!! It's very basic imo. The scent is a dusty sweetness that's hard to describe. I liked it but might be a miss for others.
