A question for tops/dommy types :)

So as someone who leans toward the subby side, I sometimes go into this thing thats not quite subspace but not 100% my normal self. Either way though it's that warm and fuzzy feeling that everyone talks about and I can almost always tell when it's happening. But I was wondering if tops/doms can see the flip? And what it looks like? I know its different for everyone but I was just wondering if its just a personal thing or if its something that is very obvious to an observer?
--can you tell when a sub is in/slipping into subspace? and what does it look like from your end?--
