Hello! I'm currently in the process of applying for a job at a company located in San Mateo, which is offering full relocation support.
My family consists of five members, including my 8-year-old, 4-year-old, and 2-year-old daughters. I'm interested in learning more about San Mateo's family-friendly environment, the best neighborhoods to live in, the city's safety level, and what income would be required to live comfortably, considering my daughters and the fact that my spouse may not be working immediately (as she is considering taking some courses or additional certification).
I already passed a couple of levels, so I'm trying to get as much information as possible towards the final stages and offer.
We will rent initially and consider buying if satisfied with the neighborhood.
As far as I understand from the external recruiter $200k base salary is easily achievable, with $250k-$300k is the max.
I am not from the United States, but I have been researching San Mateo. I read some insights about how it compares to other cities in California and the US. I have also seen some vlogs with honest reviews about the pros and cons of living there.
I am posting in this community to get knowledge from people who know the area very well or even live there, especially from individuals with families.
I started using Grammarly to try to improve some posts, it copied the quotation marks as well LOL and thanks!
