I don't want to play against only AI. Ive not seen any feedback asking for this scenario. The recent changes to the AI who are now semi invincible and far too often outscore human players combined with a narrow MM is a recipe for disaster.
No new players want to play against these odds so there is less chance player retention will be anything but a novelty.
I'm sorry RedButton but you've made a terrible mistake and you've made your game boring at best and unplayable at worst.
I hope you see the light and open MM to global and broaden the MM back to what it was or better.
This is a obviously a business and as such i fail to understand the strategy to generate revenue. As a business you want to generate profits but you're not selling the best equipment on launch. Combine this with the MM and you do not have a big enough hook to keep players hanging around long enough to want the best stuff whenever you do sell it.
As a player, i now feel no requirement to buy premium just to face AI battles because ultimately i get no game satisfaction from winning against AI and my scope for improvement and game ambition is limited. Also under the new system i no longer receive 15% greater chances of being offered better equipment and the battle EC rewards failed to compensate for the removal of that system.
This is a small game developer but so far since global launch has managed to make some big mistakes by my estimation.
Not offering the Flying bot for sale was a huge weirdness as many people had heard about it and were prepared to pay for it but can't.
Making the upgrades destroyed when removed kills experimentation and stalls players progress whilst they figure out what works.
Charging £100.00 for only 20m in game currency is insane as that amount of EC won't get you very far at all in the new system.
And now the new MatchMaker which reduces the amounts of human players per battle.
Making the AI so insurmountable will never create more player retention so a paradox will exist that humans could never replace AI as a result.
Programming the AI to spawn raid and not implementing a way to let the player choose which side they drop into. Usually it will drop you on the side where the enemy is or drop you on the far side of the map when you actually want to be closer to the action.
