On the Iron Wind Metals Marauder, where do the jump jet vents go?

Recently impulse purchased a MAD-3R/5M, which has as an optional feature a set of jump jet vents. Most of the other components are pretty intuitive "post A into hole B" affairs, but it's less clear where the vents go. The Sarna listing for the 5M puts the jets in the legs, but there doesn't seem to be a good place on the underside of the legs to put them, versus the underside of the torso which has a decent amount of flat space.

Is there a "proper" place to put the vents, or is this a case where I just need to listen to my heart and do what feels right?
