The only battlefield game I have owned is bf3, but I got it really late, so I'm not sure what the bf community is like shortly after release.

I know bf is usually played for the objective game modes, but I'm really more interested in tdm, preferably on 'tighter' maps. I always enjoyed TDM on Noshahr, which seemed to be fairly popular, but at the time I got the game, it seemed to (mostly) be the only map people were playing TDM on.

I love the weighty feel of the weapons and more realistic feeling of gameplay compared to COD. If there are three or four smaller maps and TDM is popular, this game would be worth a buy for me, but if they're mostly large, open maps, like the one in the beta, and TDM matches are hard to find, it will have limited interest for me.

Also, I'm in Australia, where the population density is fairly low, so if a mode isn't very popular, it can be extremely hard to find matches, especially a few months after release.

I realise this might be a tricky question to answer considering all the details aren't available yet, but I'm hoping to get some insight from people who are used to what bf games are usually like.

tl;dr: Is it likely that TDM will be popular in this game? Is there any info on smaller, more closed, maps?
