Short Question: Can I download the game and play right away or I should look for a community launcher, server or something like that?

Long question: I don't click with the current shooters and I'm looking to go back to the ones that I perfectly know that I like, the thing is, as far as I know the Original trilogy for CoD Modern Warfare and the first 2 Black Ops are traps where you get your PC hack just by connecting to the servers so you have to use patch and stuff community made to avoid those problems.

I searched about that topic here on the sub and there was a post from 10 months ago where the conclusion was that due to how the servers work (which apparently is different to how CoD servers do) it is safe to play BUT... On that same post I found a comment from 5 months ago (More recent than the post) saying that he/she actually got malware from Btf servers. There was another person asking if they were 100% sure it was for Btf but not answer after that so... Are we safe or not?

Sorry if I look like a boomer with tin paper on the head but right now I couldn't be able to replace my pc if something happen so I just want to check, after all there is a precedent with what I said about the CoD games.
