Controller stutter on PC

So I just downloaded the game because I’m bored of everything else. On keyboard and mouse I have no issues. However when I plug in my Xbox controller and I either tact sprint and try to turn or am standing still and aiming down sight I stutter left and right. It’s not pc lag so I wasn’t sure if there’s a setting I’m missing in options.
