From both a legality and a practicality standpoint, how well would "soft" armor work as an anti-spinner tactic? I'm not thinking so much about nets or entanglement devices, but more along the lines of chains or a thick plating of softer metal where the goal is to "catch" the blade and have it stick in the soft armor. Basically I'm wondering if the battlebots equivalent of a thick wooden shield would work (I know wood isn't allowed by the current rules, but a different material could work). Has this been tried before, or is it too impractical?
