I think there’s a lot of good things in the movie, and it had a lot of potential. I think it looks awesome, well acted, the Riddler and Penguin really stand out as great villains.

But ultimately I think it just gets the character of Batman wrong. He always loses. He doesn’t even catch the Riddler, he turns himself in and still destroys Gotham. This is supposed to be the most detective-focused film Batman and he’s not a great detective. And it’s too long for no reason.

I wanted to like it. I just didn’t care for it very much. Am I alone in this opinion?
