My pitch for a future Batman comic story, which is meant to change the status quo of the character

I think this idea was toyed with a little bit by comic writers but never fully committed to..

We get an actual reason why Batman wears a blue cape. After years of being a symbol of fear to strike criminals, Gotham city has become changed to the point where Batman needs to adapt from being a symbol of fear that makes criminals fear. to a symbol of hope to actually inspire citizens for the better, so he decides to ditch the frightening black for the more hopeful color of blue. He also appears more in daytime as opposed to night

I lean towards blue a la Jim Aparo and Norm Breyfogle since thatโ€™s when I got into comics but I think black works too depending on the artist (David Mazzucchelli comes to mind)
