My pedalboard is currently as follows:

Tuner -> Empress Bass Compressor -> POG -> Aftershock Distortion -> Amp

I've got room for 1 more pedal, and was thinking of a preamp/DI. (Found a used MXR Bass preamp DI for $170 CAD that I've got my eye on).

Is there much point in adding a preamp/DI? I have an unused dry signal out (1/4) from the POG that I could run to a PA/mixer, also a DI out on my amp (but it wouldn't be a dry signal). Any other recommendations? (I have zero use for any modulation effect). But the only EQ I have is on the amp & active bass, so I wouldn't mind some additional EQ parameters.

Also, if you could include the order in which you would place your suggested pedal that'd be appriciated.
