So I am a sucker for bass instruments. And am going to college for music education and woodwind performance. I’m hoping to try out either a contrabassoon or a contraforte in my time. I just wanna know everyones opinions on the instrument. Its personally one of my favorites. When writing its a great substitute for tuba when writing a woodwind chorale in a piece. Typically sharing a part with the contrabass clarinet. I just love both so much and wanted to know where people stood with the instrument. And any tips for playing it if I ever get to!
