Any Arizona Bass Fisherman Here? Tips on fishing in 100+ heat

Post Body

After having a baby, my wife and I have decided to pick up active hobbies to get us outside and active so we can keep up with our growing child. Fishing has always been a hobby and a pastime of mine after spending countless summers at grandparents houses in Florida and Minnesota. However I don't fish a whole lot in Arizona because my luck is just awful. If the bite is on anywhere it won't be for myself. I also just perceived my home state as being incredibly difficult to fish because it's a desert.

Anyways, I'm looking for tips from other anglers on how to locate the bass on the salt river, saguaro lake area near my house. I'm reading a lot of conflicting info on fishing in warm weather, some say use top water baits while others say the bass are further down and you'll want a drop shot or mid diving crankbait. What are some tactics you use? What are some lure colors that play well during the AZ summers?

Thanks
