wsl2 - good performance

I wanted to check out a few homebrew PHP projects with PHP 8.0 beta and did try wsl2 for this, and it works pretty well, better then with Crostini on a Chromebook. The fact that http://localhost just works from the Windows host is pretty cool. (was not working with Crostini)
Editing project files from \\wsl$\Ubuntu-20.04\home\me\project Sublime works good enough, however mapping it to a network did not work, how to do this?
