I realize that eBay or other open marketplaces dictate true value. However, how do Beckett, PSA, etc. come up with their values? I purchased a collection of late 70โs/early 80โs Topps baseball cards this evening and as I was going through it, I stumbled across 3 pristine Rickey Henderson rookies (no marks, theyโre centered, no side/corner damage, etc.). I check out PSAcard.com and I start thinking what might be ($27k). Then I check Beckett to find a deflated balloon ($80). eBay seems to be more closely aligned to Beckett at $100-$200. So, how did PSA come up with their value?
