Did I just find out I've got a gem?

So I've got both the Griffey cards from the 1992 Donruss set and both are the error version without the . After inc on the back. I saw one listed for like 4500 bucks when trying to get the value of mine via Google and dismissed it until I checked the sold listings on ebay and low and behold they have actually sold for quite a bit recently. Is this some sort of scam I'm not hip to or can I sell these and pay the state of Oregon for the tickets I got and had to set up a payment plan for?
