Thanks, Nationals, for 2017. Despite the all-too-familiar ending, it was a fun and exciting season, starting all the way back in Spring Training in March with a Michael A. Taylor walk-off bomb to christen a shiny new spring training ballpark.
You brought us another NL East Championship despite the Metsish injury carousel. I mean, 13 different guys played left field at some point. 13. Are you kidding me?
We got to watch Mad Max collect another Cy Young and everyone saw once and for all that Strasburg's better.
Thanks for every day where Anthony Rendon made it look easy; and for Wilmer Difo's invisible sniper; and those April walk-offs; every Harper hair flip; every JDub bat flip; the Baby Faced Assassin; Daniel "Hits" Murphy; Madsen, Kinzler and Dooooooooooooooooo to the rescue; the debut of Victor Robles; and the everyday happiness that is Matt "One Thicc Bih" Albers.
Long live The Ryannaisance (flim-flam is futile)!!!!
Let's get past the NLDS now.
ETA: Trea Turner hit for the cycle and it was awesome. Treacycle!
