Hi r/baseball!

With the division and wild card races heating up, it's time to roll out some familiar wheels for fans of all ages. While they may not be the same kind of ride that teams like the Cubs, Rangers and Nats have been riding, or the ones the Twins and Braves have been rolling around in, we think you'll like them all the same.

If you were around last year, you'll remember that any team currently at or above a .500 record and invested in a playoff race got a bandwagon flair, and those flairs were faded along with the team's regular flair when the team was eliminated.

Well this year, we're doing things a bit differently.

While any team with at least a .500 record will get a bandwagon flair, not all of them will keep that flair. In an effort to make the bandwagons a bit more of a "reward" for playoff-bound teams, any team eliminated from postseason contention will also lose their bandwagon flair. Only teams who make it into a postseason game will keep their cherry red wagon (and only one of those will stay red the whole way through).
