Part 1
Part 2
What is arbitration?
Welcome back to the arbitration process play-by-play that I've been providing for the last three and a half weeks! We've just finished up with the exciting negotiation process, and we've come down to the wire with all the remaining players expected to go through the actual arbitration hearings!
First, a recap of the players who settled with their teams in these last two and a half weeks:
Settled after filing for arbitration
Sorted by team, mobile users I apologize
Time to make some sense of the numbers:
- According to my l33t counting skillz, 161 of 176 arbitration-eligible players have settled with their team.
- Of the 176 arb-eligibles, only 15 players are reaching their arbitration hearings.
- The only team taking multiple players to arbitration hearings is the Indians, with a surprising four players. 18 teams have avoided arbitration hearings altogether.
Those are all the inferences I can make before women's slopestyle semifinals begin, so that'll have to do for now.
ANYWAY, onto this post's list:
(UPDATED AS OF 2:05 AM ET, 2/19/14)
