Tommy John surgery for NPB pitchers vs MLB?

Has anyone seen a comparison between TJS frequency among pitchers in Japan vs the US? Elbows are elbows but do we know if the typical NPB rotation where they start once a week has kept their guys healthier? Or if they have different training methods? Or are they going under the knife just as often and there’s seemingly no way to avoid it with the velocity in today’s game?
