Facebook "hack" going around has me mad as Hell. Here's our daily debate on ethics. Would you replace the drink?
Post Body

So, some dumbass Facebook reels had a scenario in which a person finishes their drink fast, gets tap water, puts colored dye in the glass, then goes back to the bartender and says "I think somebody laced my drink." with the noticeable color change from the original drink.

Thej then pose the question, would you still replace the drink with a free drink?

And my answer is 1000% yes, one thousand times, yes. Even if someone did this, it would only take one drink for us to catch them and it ensures that my other patrons who overhear the conversation know that the drinks that I serve them are safe and that if any tampering is even hinted at that it will be taken care of immediately as I believe that beyond just customer service, people should feel safe drinking at my bar. If ensuring customer safety costs me a $9 cocktail, then that's worth it to me.

Not to mention, most of us know that the reason why date rape drugs are so effective is because they typically don't have a color change or taste.

So, this is my question to you all today. If somebody comes up to you saying their drink was tampered with, what's your response? Do you remake their drink? How do you handle the situation?
