I haven’t lived in this new area that long and it takes me awhile to find the kind of dive I like to go to. I bartend at a more upscale spot but drink at the dives because fuck paying 10$ for a Jameson . I met Rob after a particularly long series of shifts after my other bartender got fired and pretty much left me working 9 days in a row. First night I met this guy he hooked it up so fierce I was wasted for 16$ and it was close enough to walk home. I tipped the bill and kept coming back . I don’t have a lot of friends in this new city yet and it was always so great to chat him up after my shifts about the nonsense that is customer service. He was hit by a bus Christmas Eve. I’m still a little dumbfounded. You never know when things like this are going to happen. I’ll gonna truly miss you dude . Not just for your 3$ Jameson’s but your truly uplifting spirit and great sense of humor . I always looked forward to seeing you after work but I know you’re pouring shots in heaven. Rest In Peace my dude.
