Hey guys, I'm working on a menu for a local Sushi joint in Canada. Their current menu doesn't really fit in with a Japanese theme, so I made a sample of a few drinks and showed it to them so they would have a variety of options that ideally use japanese/asian flavours. This is what I have so far, looking for a few more drinks, let me know if anything glaring jumps out.
Ideally, I'd like to have a ginger drink or 2 added in.
(Note - I dont drink Caesars, so I have pretty much no gauge for this recipe)
1) Sake Martini A twist on a classic martini, the dryness of sake works well as a vermouth substitute - 1 3/4 Vodka or Gin - 1/4 Sake Stir over ice and strain into Chilled Martini Glass Garnish with a piece of balled cucumber on a pick.
2) Green Tea-ni A sweet taste of green tea with vodka and citrus - 1 1/2 vodka - 1/2 triple sec - 1 1/2 green tea syrup (Recipe below) Shake over ice, strain into a chilled martini glass
3) Japanese Slipper A classic cocktail with sweetness and sour - 1 Midori - 1 Cointreau - 1 Fresh Lime Juice (Can use lemon juice) Shake and strain into a martini glass, Garnish with a marashino cherry
4) Green Tea Mojito a classic Mojito made even more refreshing with green tea syrup. - 2 white rum -10 mint leaves -2 lime wedges -1 green tea syrup muddled, topped with ice and soda water. garnish with a lime wedge and mint leaf
5) Sake Caesar A Caesar with a Japanese twist - 1 vodka - Β½ sake - ΒΌ Soya Sauce/Wasabi mix (1 cup Soya to 1 tsp wasabi) - Celery Salt rim Garnish with piece of clam sashimi. Build on ice in rimmed glass
