I've been going to a place for a few years now, maybe once or twice a month, sometimes once every month or two. I don't know when it started, but one of the baristas started to make my drinks for me before I even approached the counter (online order). Prior to her, I would always have to say I had an order for it to be made. I don't think she's missed a single time and always has a great smile and attitude. I have no idea if she does this for all of the regulars. I don't go to places like this often and don't know the culture well.
I want to start showing that I recognize what she's doing and appreciate it. I'm never in a rush or anything, but the fact she's doing this for me at all stands out. I was thinking of possibly getting her items as tips after asking her what she may like (personal preference over cash - item tips were pretty common back in the 90s in nicer places). Maybe just saving it all up and giving cash and a card at the end of the year.
Anyone have any input or ideas? I also want to make it clear I'm not trying to hit on her or anything. I've never been treated like this at any of my regular spots. I want to give back.
