Looking To Build A Powerful Gaming PC
Post Body

Hey all, first time posting here. I currently run an Intel Core i7 - 920 2.67 Ghz CPU with a 1050 T.I. graphics card and a 1080p / 60hz monitor. It's been over 10 years now with this CPU & monitor and am looking to build something new and more powerful.

I've been looking at possibly upgrading to a 1440p / 144hz monitor as well as possibly either a 1080 T.I. graphics card or maybe even a 2080 T.I. depending on what prices I can find. Will a 1080 T.I. be able to run most games efficiently on max settings with a 1440p monitor while maintaining the 120hz-144hz range? Also, what CPU would one recommend in order to accomodate a 1440p / 144hz monitor a 1080 t.i. or 2080 t.i. graphics card? I'm not too savvy with custom building so any recommended parts as well as anything else I may be forgetting would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
