Looking for Electric banjo tips

Hey y’all, looking to convert a banjo to an electric. I was going to throw a couple rail pickups underneath with fatty blades and see what happens. Any tips for internal electronics? I’ve seen some stuff about wiring in a compressor to help with banjo sounds but any tips would be greatly appreciated!
