How's the covid situation around you?

So media is not interested anymore it seems so I am not able to get any insight into current situation. In the past waves I have observed it's usually bad when people around you or people you know start getting it. During the worst of the past waves, reddit threads were filled with "yeah everyone in my society has it", "my relatives have it" etc etc. So I wanna know what's the situation atm? Do you or people around you have it? Is the infection mild?
