Can’t stick with any consistent lineup
Post Body

For the past few years, I’ve constantly met musicians who are more than keen to join my band, then end up leaving soon after for one reason or another. The one consistent lineup I was in (that I started) rehearsed for the better part of a year together until eventually they told me that they want to do their own thing excluding me (they told me it had nothing to do with my musical skill, but that they wanted to play exclusively grunge and emo, no point for having a keyboardist like myself). I’m just starting to think something is wrong with me as a band member.

I’ve worked on noodling less and playing more purposefully, showing up to rehearsals earlier, spend less time fiddling with patches etc. still, yesterday we had (yet another) trial jam for a bunch of new musicians. Everyone knew we were gonna do funk stuff and told me they’re into that. This morning on Facebook the guitarist messaged me he wasn’t feeling it and blocked me instantly. I didn’t say anything out of line or anything yesterday so that was kind of weird to me.

Anyway just a bit frustrated and would like to hear some advice if anyone has any.
