Producer/ record label removed songs from google drive and not responding before album release

So…. I’m helping manage my friends band. They have a producer guy who owns his own record label and has been helping them on their debut album. Songs were p much finished and ready to release. He said he needed a few more days to mix and master. Well, after those few days he removed all the demos from our google drive and has now been unresponsive the pst few days… I’m fearing that exactly what we are scared of may be true.
