Hey monkeys

I noticed that the community is getting bigger and bigger and that people are trying to spread the love for Bananos. It is nice seeing so many new monkeys trying to spread the word, but I think it has come to a point where we are seen as annoying in other subs. I have seen posts where people get banned in other subs for promoting Banano and I actually agree with the bans, because going through these accounts, I have seen that the only thing they have is posts about Banano. So if other click on your profile and the only thing you are doing is spreading the word and no other reddit activity, it is seen as promoting.

Don't get me wrong I understand why you want to spread the word, it is a great community and the more people find out about it the better it gets. But it has come to a point where we as a community look a little like a cult.

If you want to promote F@H do so and just add a little disclaimer at the end that you can also earn a currency that will be enough to pay your electricity bill, so that contributing to F@H doesn't even cost you, but don't forget to mention that the amount you get doesn't cover the bill entirely(this of course depends where you live). When I tell other people about Folding@Home, I tell them that there are some teams who will reward you with CryptoCurrencys and that my choice is Banano. Also don't forget to mention that F@H is older than the crypto space. It has nothing to do with CryptoCurrencys.

What I am trying to tell is stop promoting it on other subs, just tell them if a occasion arises that there is a nice community out there, that is rewarding you for your memes and your contributions to medical research. Banano will grow the same way it has for the last 3 year, it is a great community that sucks everyone in when they discover it, just give them some time.

Edit: r/cc was inevitable, they just hate all coins that make their miningrigs useless.
