My great-grandfather served on the Constellation. Today 123 years after he stepped off that boat, I brought his service log back to visit.

My father passed away a few years ago, and I finally went through an old trunk he left me. I found my great grandfather's military service records, along with this logbook, and several other of his items from his time in the Navy. I work three blocks away so I took the log down to the constellation and showed it to the staff that were on board - they were all pretty stoked to see a piece of the boats history. Out of all the vessels he served on, this is the only one remaining.
