My husband and I are looking to move into the city, we've been living down south for way too long but we're originally from New Jersey and miss the Northeast culture with the vast opportunities for stuff to do.
We kind of toured around the city this last weekend but would love some more input. We're looking to buy and would like an area that is reasonably safe, would prefer an area where we could have a driveway and a yard for my veggie garden. Our budget is 200-250 k. We're not big drinkers but we'd love to be close to some parks, I'd also love a farmers market. We have incentives to stay in the city through work so we're not looking at the county.
We looked around the Hamilton/Lauraville and really liked the quiet of that area while still being decently close to the city. We looked on the west side as well not sure of the neighborhood name but most of the homes were brick/siding mix and was close to Glen. We really loved the style of homes over there and of course the neighborhood looked really nice. We'd prefer either semi detached duplex or single family if at all possible.
I'd like some access to public transit, I get lazy about driving sometimes.
Are there any other areas we should consider?
